A burglary occurs every 40 seconds in the UK, but most of these are not pre-planned; they’re committed by opportunistic criminals. It’s therefore understandable why the UK has more CCTV cameras than any other European country. Whilst widely regarded as one of the most effective deterrents for burglaries, CCTV systems can also be used to:
- Collect evidence and ensure crimes are solved swiftly.
- Settle disputes in domestic and commercial scenarios.
- Keep records of when your team checks in and out of your site.
- Track what is happening at the premises, such as monitoring the activity of workers and visitors.

Should I choose a wired or wireless CCTV system?
Wired CCTV systems are the most traditional, regularly used on larger properties where reliability is key. These systems are not susceptible to interference from wireless signals due to the physical connection; however, in recent years wireless CCTV cameras are becoming more popular. One of the reasons for this is because wireless network performance is improving, but they’re also very efficient, and most of the time they’re in standby or power saving mode. Wired and wireless CCTV systems can both provide high levels of protection, but it’s important we understand your needs and learn more about your current security setup before recommending the best option for your needs.
