A list of CCTV manufacturers and where they are based

We live in a world that is heavily monitored. One of the largest monitoring systems available is the closed circuit television system or CCTV for short. CCTV is available for both personal use and use by businesses. The type of closed-circuit television system that is used will largely depend on the budget available to the individual and the manufacturer that they decide to purchase from. One of the leading CCTV manufacturers in the United Kingdom is Raytek, which was founded in 2005 and produced a large selection of high-quality and high-definition CCTV units.

One of the more famous CCTV manufacturers is Sony. Sony is a Japanese company that was founded in 1946 and manufactures one of the largest ranges of closed-circuit television systems available. Many of the leading CCTV manufacturers are based in Asia, and these include aiphone from Japan, Alphafinity from Taiwan, geovision also from Taiwan, Hikvision and LTS security, which are both Chinese manufacturers. Masala is also a Taiwanese company along with qnap and vivotek. The United States has several manufacturers of CCTV, including ETS, arecont vision, and speco.

The main Canadian manufacturers are videocomm and aimetis. In Germany, the two main manufacturers are Bosch and mobotix. In Sweden, the main CCTV manufacturer is axis and in South Korea, Samsung leads the way. With all of these different manufacturers of CCTV systems releasing many different lines each year, CCTV is becoming more and more accessible to the masses and providing a certain degree of protection to property and businesses around the world. The most popular brands of CCTV are Sony, Bosh, and Samsung who are all leaders when it comes to the world of electronics.

The origins of CCTV started out quite humbly with systems that consisted of one or two cameras connected to a tube monitor. Over time, this has morphed into a multi-billion pound Empire that is saturated with some of the highest-quality high definition cameras available. Many cameras can also be used externally as well as internally and can come with night vision modes and motion detectors built in. In the past, CCTV relied on manual recording on to units that could only be viewed at the source. Today, CCTV can live stream across the internet and be viewed from anywhere in the world. The recent influx I have many generic CCTV systems has also drastically reduced the price of many systems, mainly as they need to be able to compete.
